Work

I’ve worked as the only designer in a five-person startup, as a design director inside larger teams, and as the person brought in to untangle one stubborn problem. The format changes. I still want the same thing: to get close to the product and leave the team with better work and better ways to make it.

Summer Health

Pediatric telehealth, 2022-2025

Parents shouldn't have to panic-search symptoms at 2am or wait days to get answers about a sick kid. That was the problem to solve.

The work splits into two stories:

Care App

The parent experience. From SMS to native app, designed around fifty research conversations with real parents.

CareOS

The clinician experience. A full rebuild of the clinical tool, designed to be fast, clear, and reliable.

Loom

Async video messaging platform, 2023

Lens had reached the stage many design systems reach: everyone depended on it and nobody quite trusted it. Designers were spending more time working around the system than using it.

Over a 10-week contract, I rebuilt it entirely: refreshed the foundations (color, type), reorganized components with proper variables, created reusable patterns and templates, and documented everything clearly in Loom. The result was a system the team could actually rely on: faster, consistent, and far easier to use.

Forward Operators

AI consulting helping businesses figure out where AI actually fits, 2023

ChatGPT made AI look powerful and strangely boring: one blank box, one blinking cursor. The challenge was to design around the intelligence instead of simply exposing it.

I defined the UX and visual principles that turned a plain prompt into something that feels alive. The interface stayed minimal, while motion (in collaboration with animator Hanna Edghill (opens in new tab)) gave it personality. And the whole thing was designed to work naturally for both voice and text.

Titan

Space experimentation platform for businesses, 2021-2022

The challenge was simple to state but hard to solve: make running experiments in space feel as straightforward as running them on Earth.

As Head of User Experience, I led the work on a design system that made the constraints of orbit feel simple, turning complex space operations into something customers could confidently use on the ground and in space.

Details are limited due to NDA.

Żabka

Polish convenience store chain (7,000+ locations) expanding to home delivery, 2020-2021

Over nine months with Ueno (opens in new tab), I led the product design work: mapped every flow, designed the full shopping experience, and built a comprehensive design system ready for handoff. The project never launched, which is a useful reminder that finished design and shipped product are different things. The team still left with every flow mapped, a complete shopping experience, and a design system ready for production.

Herman Miller

Office furniture and workspace solutions, 2019-2020

Office layouts were already failing before the pandemic. Teams needed spaces that supported focus, collaboration, and hybrid work, but most companies didn't know where to start. That was the challenge.

As Design Director at SuperFriendly, I led the strategy and built a tool that asked companies about their work patterns and turned those answers into tailored office recommendations. It launched successfully… and then the pandemic arrived and changed everything overnight.

Toast

Point-of-sale system for restaurants and cafes, 2019

Restaurants don't want marketing, they want useful ideas. Toast needed a way to drive traffic and email signups through content that felt genuinely helpful, not promotional.

Working with SuperFriendly, I helped build an online publication from the ground up: researched what operators actually cared about, created a design system to keep everything consistent, and shaped the UX so readers could quickly get to the content they needed. The result beat Toast's goals for both traffic and signups.

Most of my projects happen from this office in the Swedish countryside. I've worked remotely with US teams for 10+ years, and while I love getting together for offsites, this is where the best thinking happens.

However we work together, the shape is the same: I embed with your team. The only thing that changes is the pace. Some teams need hands-on design every week, others a slower, advisory cadence.
